The Department of Computer Science at Walla Walla University invites applications for a professor position in computer science. The ideal candidate will have a Ph.D. in computer science and be committed to excellence in classroom teaching and mentoring undergraduate students majoring in computer science. Teaching experience and/or experience in industry is also highly desirable. 

The department offers an undergraduate program in computer science with approximately 50 majors and supports the computer engineering concentration in the Edward F. Cross School of Engineering.

Required Experience

A minimum of a master’s degree in computer science or a related field is required.  Preference given to candidates with a Ph.D.

Applicants should have the ability to use technology effectively in teaching and learning, share real-world experiences in the classroom and student research projects, the ability to work collaboratively, evidence of scholarly activity, and a commitment to Christian higher education.

Compensation: Placement of the new hire within the salary pay grade is dependent on qualification and professional experience. The salary assigned to this position ranges from $60,683 to $82,929.
