  1. Walla Walla University’s Edward F. Cross School of Engineering seeks applications for a full-time, tenure-track faculty position in engineering beginning September 1, 2025. 
  2. The ideal candidate will be committed to excellence in teaching, advising, and mentoring students. Other responsibilities include academic advising and service on university-wide committees. The successful candidate will be a dedicated Seventh-day Adventist Christian committed to integrating their faith with teaching and scholarship, and should also bring real-world experiences to the learning environment. Evidence should be provided of collaborative work, scholarly activity, and a commitment to Christian higher education. 

Walla Walla University is a Seventh-day Adventist teaching university located in southeastern Washington state. The School of Engineering’s ABET accredited program enjoys an excellent reputation among employers and graduate schools. The Walla Walla Valley offers an attractive living environment in a culturally rich rural and small-town setting. Required Experience
  • considered. A doctorate, along with industry and/or teaching experience, is preferred. 
  • Ability to teach fundamental engineering courses such as mechanics and circuits.
  • Expertise in advanced topics in electrical and/or mechanical engineering, examples include: instrumentation, power conversion, digital design, machine design, and manufacturing.
  • Skill in guiding students through hands-on laboratory and design projects.
  • Dedication to a collaborative faculty approach and passion about promoting quality teaching, mentoring, and practical applications within a Christian context.
