Burton Adventist Academy is looking for a spirit-filled and experienced IT Director to help fulfill the school's mission of leading students to Christ and preparing them for life. The right person for this position will fully integrate into the school community by effectively leading technical projects in alignment with the school's mission and vision, providing support for daily IT-related issues, teaching computer classes as needed and building positive relationships with students and the staff.
The right person for this position will also be a class sponsor, take on leadership roles as they become available, collaborate with other teachers and community members on various projects, support extracurricular activities, and be an active Arlington Seventh-day Adventist Church member.
General Duties:
*Installation of technology systems and tools (e.g. hardware, software, systems, wiring, specialized applications, and tools) to ensure the safe, timely, and efficient installation of technology equipment and services.
*Maintain technology equipment and systems (e.g. servers, telephone systems, intercoms, alarms, surveillance cameras, software applications, and networks) to ensure that they are functioning properly.
*Manage procurement, inventory, and surplus of technology equipment, systems, and related services for the purpose of ensuring that all technology purchases for goods and/or services are consistent with the school's technology objectives.
*Develop, implement, and update a disaster recovery plan.
*Provide day-to-day technical support on time.
*Teach computer classes according to NAD standards.
*Lead the school maker space program
*Support the technology needs of BAA North Campus (the Arlington SDA Church)
Experience:
*Using an active directory to manage user accounts
*Installation, configuration, and maintenance of Unifi networking equipment
*Experience with configuring various servers (Radius, DNS, Printing)
*Google Workspace for Education and the suite of Google tools and Apps.
*Experience with 1-1 iPad programs (both BYOD and school-owned).
*Using Mobile Device Management software
*Apple school manager for managing user accounts and volume purchasing of apps and iBooks.
*Experience with supporting a Mac environment that includes AppleTVs, Mac Minis, Macbook, IMacs, and iPads.
*Must be authorized to work in the United States.
