La Sierra University is seeking candidates for the position of Dean of the College of Arts & Sciences. The college is the largest of the four schools at La Sierra University offering primarily undergraduate degrees within the Fine Arts, Humanities, and Natural and Social Sciences. As the leader of the college, the dean is responsible for maintaining academic quality in harmony with the university’s mission and purposes. In this role, the dean’s primary concerns include guidance of faculty recruitment; support for faculty scholarship, teaching, and service; oversight of curriculum development; promotion and support of extra-mural funding; and inspiration of innovative program growth. As a member of senior leadership, responsibilities include all aspects of administration, including planning, budgeting, fund-raising, program coordination, and communication with other entities within the university and its extended community. Qualified candidates will hold an earned doctorate or terminal degree, preferably in the arts and sciences; be a member of the Seventh-day Adventist denomination; and have demonstrated effectiveness as a teacher, scholar, and administrator. Annual Salary Wage Range:
