Required Experience

Description: The Education and Psychology Department at Southwestern Adventist University invites applications for a full-time, faculty position in Psychology beginning July 1, 2024. Instructional roles include teaching undergraduate and graduate classes, and supervising internships. In addition to teaching, the successful applicant will be expected to actively support the scholarship of students in the program and promote outreach to the community. The ideal candidate must be committed to teaching, advising, mentoring students, and serving on university committees as designated by Academic Administration. Candidates should be members in good standing of the Seventh-day Adventist church and have a strong commitment to Christian higher education.

Education and Experience:  Undergraduate and master’s degree in psychology; PhD or PsyD in related field, Licensure in professional counseling is strongly preferred. Candidates with post-secondary teaching and experience with diverse populations will be prioritized.
