Description

Mother Lode Adventist Junior Academy (MLAJA) is seeking a Science teacher for the 2025-2026 school year. The science classes would cover grades 7-11 (soon to be 12th).   The classes would include  Biology, Chemistry, Physical Science.  Having a music, technology or a PE background would be a plus.  MLAJA is located in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada, two hours east of San Francisco and one hour north of Yosemite National Park. This puts skiing, hiking, canoeing, and other outdoor activities close to the school. At the same, San Francisco and other Bay Area attractions are about 30 miles away. The MLAJA community comprises an active and supportive church, a thriving Early Childhood Education Center, and an expanding Adventist hospital. A full-time office administrator handles day-to-day office duties and communications. The school receives additional support from an established endowment.  

Required Experience

The successful candidate will have the following qualifications: 1) holds or is qualified to receive NAD teaching certification; 2) maintains a Spiritual presence and commitment; 4) leads by example; 5) Engages with students inside and outside the classroom 6) involved in school activities. This is a 10month teaching position starts in the 2025-2026 school year.  The candidate must be able to legally work in the United States.   The salary range for this position is $50,419.16 to $64,564.54, based on North American Division certification and experience. Must have documentation to work in the USA. Position open until filled.
