STATUS: Exempt, Regular, Full-time, Full benefits which includes up to four personal days each school year.

SALARY: The salary for this position is based on the wage scale determined by certification, degree, and years of experience.

Description: Summit Christian Academy (SCA) serving Salt Lake City and the surrounding area is seeking a 7th & 8th grade teacher to join their team of five teachers for the 2025 - 2026 school year.  SCA benefits from the support of dedicated school board members. Each fall SCA enjoys a school wide campout where the school staff, students, and their families worship and fellowship together while exploring God’s creation.  

Summit Christian Academy is located in the beautiful Salt Lake City valley with direct access to hundreds of trails, several lakes, and one of best ski resorts in the world. Utah is home to the Big 5 National Parks, which are just a few hours drive from Salt Lake City.

QUALIFICATIONS:

We are seeking candidates committed to the ministry of Adventist education as we grow loving followers of Jesus.  Qualified candidates will

• be active members in good standing of the Seventh-day Adventist Church
• have a minimum of a bachelor’s degree
• hold or are able to obtain a NAD elementary teaching credential
• have elementary teaching experience, preferably in a multi-grade setting
• pass a background check
• have a legal right to work and reside in the United States
