Reporting to the President, the Vice President for Financial Administration (VPFA) aligns institutional resources to achieve the university's mission, vision, and strategic initiatives. Acting in cooperation with other administrators and departmental leaders, the VPFA guides the financial operation of the university with responsible stewardship.
- Helps to shape and implement strategic priorities in the university's strategic plan; plays a leading role in assisting colleagues and administrators in charting the university's future
- Oversees the departments of Financial Administration, Human Resources (including Risk Management and Insurance), Food Services, Information Systems, Plant Services (including Transportation, Grounds, and Custodial), Campus Store, Non-Dormitory Housing and Leaseholds, Reiner Wellness Center, and Union Manor
- In cooperation with the controller and the financial team, oversees the finance and budget function of the university including the development and administration of operating and capital budgets; oversees the operations of accounting, general ledger, cash flow management, tax and governmental reporting, payroll, auditing, and financial policy compliance; oversees endowment management and other university investments
