Description

Serves as admissions counselor to effectively build relationships, complete applications and recruit transfer students from other colleges and universities. Serves in undergraduate admissions office to see the transfer students through processes from interest, application, and enrollment. Advises guest students on campus, including high school dual enrollment guests, showing them options at Andrews University. Coordinates and schedules recruiting appointments/trips to events focused on students interested in transferring to Andrews University from another college. Connects with high school students graduating from home schools for advising, applying, and enrolling at Andrews University. Helps with visits and events on campus for prospective students.

Education and/or Experience: Bachelor’s degree and/or previous experience in enrollment office settings and with admissions and international student admissions processes preferred, or in positions that provide significant experience in organizational skills, analysis and customer service and interaction.

Language Skills: Able to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.  Able to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.  Able to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

Mathematical Skills Able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.  Able to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

Reasoning Ability Able to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.  Able to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations Must possess valid driver's license (for a minimum of three years in order to use university vehicles to transport other individuals) and insurance.


Must be a Seventh-day Adventist in good and regular standing.
