The Department of Physics at Andrews University invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant or Associate Professor position to commence in July 2025.  Candidates with research interests in any area of  physics or astronomy will be considered and the successful candidate is expected to establish an active research program in physics.  Teaching experience in introductory, intermediate, and advanced physics courses is preferred  but evidence of pedagogical talent, creativity, dedication, and commitment is sufficient. 

The successful candidate will be expected to develop and teach undergraduate courses required for general education, professional career preparation, and entry into graduate academic programs. The candidate’s academic and research experience at the core of their physics doctoral degree or postdoc is expected to play a key role in upper division coursework, inspiring and equipping majors for subsequent advanced study or for direct entry into the workforce.

Must be a Seventh-day Adventist in good and regular standing.
