Our growing PK-8 school includes a popular Montessori style PK program. We are seeking a lead teacher for this program. Adequate support staff is provided so the teacher has time to plan, teach and assess. The position is a full-time, benefited conference teaching position. The PK teacher is a member of a four teacher staff. Students attend class four days a week, Monday-Thursday, so teachers at P.A. have one day a week for planning, grading, and professional development.

The successful candidate will be a committed, Seventh-day Adventist Christian who will serve as an attractive role model for our students and will have current NAD certification, or the ability to qualify for.  We prefer 3 years experience with a focus on early childhood education, but will consider a qualified candidate with less experience.  A track record of promoting student academic success, innovative instructional practices, being a positive team player and mentoring student spiritual growth is essential.  Some experience with outdoor education would also be a plus.  Candidate should be willing to pursue additional training in Montessori pedagogy, if not already Montessori certified.
