The School of Social Work at Andrews University is seeking candidates for the position of Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor of Social Work beginning July 1, 2025. Interest in BSW Program Director position is highly desirable. Teaching areas may include Introduction to Social Work, Social Welfare, Foundations of Practice, and Social Policy.  Background in clinical settings is desirable.  Other responsibilities include academic advising, recruiting and service to the department, University, and the surrounding community. Required Experience
  • Master of Social Work (MSW) degree from a CSWE-accredited program.
  • Minimum of 5 years of post-master’s social work practice experience.
  • Experience as a department- or program-level administrator is highly desirable.
  • PhD, DSW, or equivalent degree or significant progress toward advanced degree is highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated teaching effectiveness and interest in research are highly desirable.
  • Skills in communication, organization, interpersonal, problem-solving, and basic counseling.
  • Diverse candidates are encouraged to apply. 
  • Applicant is expected to be a member of the Seventh-day Adventist church in good and regular standing.
