Forest Lake Education Center (FLEC) is a large pre-k through eighth-grade school located in Longwood, Florida, just 8 miles from downtown Orlando and very close to Forest Lake Academy. The school has an enrollment of over 670 students, with each grade having multiple teachers and classrooms. FLEC is actively pursuing certification through Marzano High Reliability Schools. They have completed Levels 1 & 2 certification and are pursuing Level 3 for the 2025-2026 school year.
FLEC has an opening for a kindergarten teacher for the coming school year. The ideal candidate will be passionate about young people and willing to grow professionally, participate in Professional Learning Communities, and take an active role in improving student outcomes. The school is seeking a dedicated and passionate teacher to join the team of four educators in providing a nurturing, Christ-centered learning environment for the students. The teacher will be enthusiastic about early childhood education and willing to work with school administration and the kindergarten team to create opportunities for their students to not only grow academically, but in their love of God and others. Applicant must be a tithe-paying Seventh-day Adventist church member in good standing and already have the legal right to work in the United States, providing evidence of such if employed. North American Division (Denominational) Teacher Certification is required and must be maintained. Successful classroom experience is preferred. Must have a service-oriented attitude, possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, and be able to work with students and families of diverse backgrounds. Possessing competent technology skills using current educational software and hardware is essential. Additional traits should include organization, attention to detail, self-directed, and motivated. Absolute confidentiality is required. Curriculum familiarity, content knowledge, and proficiency in instructional delivery are crucial. Most importantly, the applicant must possess a love for God, a love for working with children, and a desire to see each child in Heaven.
