Inez Wrenn in Crossville, Tennessee is seeking to hire two NAD certified elementary teachers who desire to see students saved for the kingdom of God. One teacher needs previous experience and is willing to serve as teaching principal. The teachers will need to have a love for students, teaching, and learning. The ideal candidates will exhibit pedagogical acumen in creating student-centered classrooms and improving overall student learning. Candidates must be faithful members of the Seventh-day Adventist Church with a servant leader disposition.
The school is well supported. The church generously supports the school and students financially. God has blessed for many years with positive financial reserves and no debt. There are several volunteers who help with the program such as music and tutoring students. The school also employs a part-time secretary. The school building contains three classrooms, a library, a multipurpose room, a kitchen, and office. Adjacent to the school via a covered walkway is an oversized gym complete with a kitchen and fellowship hall.
The school is in the city limits surrounded by woods. Across the street is Obed River Park recreation area and county fairground. Crossville is located on the Cumberland Plateau with easy access to Nashville [BNA international airport], Knoxville, Chattanooga, and multiple state parks. Crossville is close to self-supporting Heritage Academy. The area is known as the golf capital of Tennessee having four mild seasons. Residents enjoy low property taxes and no state income tax. Three hospitals are within a 45-minute drive with employment opportunities for a spouse. In addition, there are 3-4 retirement communities nearby with skilled/assisted living facilities for aging family members and/or relatives.
Minimum: B.S. degree and current NAD Elementary certification. Salary and benefits are based on the denominational wage scale and policy. Georgia-Cumberland Conference offers all full-time teachers the option of 10 or 12-month remuneration. Must have the legal right to work in the United States and be able to provide evidence of that right if employed.
