ASPIRE (Adventist School Preparing Instilling and Redeeming for Eternity) Academy is a Technology-Mediated Instruction and Learning elementary school and high school operated by the Michigan Conference of Seventh-day Adventists. 

ASPIRE Academy offers an engaging, interactive learning experience through live instruction, fostering real-time feedback and dynamic interaction between students and teachers. As a fully accredited 1-12 educational program, ASPIRE serves 120 students with the support of eight full-time teachers and a dedicated three-person administrative team, which includes the Principal, IT Administrator, and Business Administrator/Registrar.

For the 2025-2026 school year, ASPIRE is seeking to fill a full-time high school position for a mathematics and/or science teacher. Interested candidates should have endorsements in mathematics or science or be actively working toward them. 

Successful candidates will possess a unique skill set that enables them to deliver engaging and effective lessons in a live online classroom. They should be adept at creating a safe, nurturing environment that accommodates diverse learning styles while demonstrating a keen awareness of the environmental factors that impact student progress, particularly in an online setting.

Successful candidates will:

  • Encourage participation within the classroom to promote learning.
  • Establish strong relationships with students to ensure a safe and supportive learning environment.
  • Grade homework, projects, and quizzes in a timely manner.
  • Monitor and report students’ online behavior and learning habits.
  • Report recurrent technical difficulties to the IT department.
  • Attend staff meetings.
  • Fully embrace a close-knit team environment as a faculty member of ASPIRE Academy.

A successful candidate will be deeply committed to the mission of Seventh-day Adventist education, demonstrating a genuine passion for teaching and a strong ability to build positive relationships with students and parents. They should thrive in a collaborative faculty environment and be enthusiastic about teaching in a synchronous online setting that is both engaging and academically rigorous.

Required Experience
  • BS or BA degree
  • Current NAD Certification
  • Secondary endorsements in mathematics or science (or actively working toward them) are required. Additional endorsements in Bible are preferred.
  • Salary and benefits are based on the NAD wage scale.
  • Candidates must have the legal right to work in the United States and provide evidence of that right if employed.
  • Candidates must be tithe-paying Seventh-day Adventists in good and regular standing and fully embrace the principles of Adventist education as outlined in the book Education.
  • Candidates must reside in the state of Michigan or be willing to relocate.
