Hawaiian Mission Academy Ka Lama Iki is a K-8 school located in Honolulu on the beautiful island of Oahu, Hawaii. Ka Lama Iki is strongly supported by nine constituent churches, its school board and Home and School Association. Ka Lama Iki is seeking an elementary grade teacher who has a passion for Adventist education and can balance the demands of being a full-time teacher of a growing K-8 program both inside the classroom and within a growing church community. 

Required Experience

Applicants should hold a current teaching credential.  Experience with standards-based learning, multicultural and diverse students, and multi-grade classroom planning is greatly desired.  Applicants should be well equipped to use age-appropriate instructional strategies, encourage hands-on learning, flexible planning and follow-through, and experience with incorporating social-emotional wellness. Applicants should be open-minded to integrating technology, STEM, the arts, and sports education into the curriculum (i.e. video and editing class/life skills lessons/coaching/music programs). Applicants must have a strong, positive team spirit. Effective communication skills are necessary. Applicants should be in good standing within their church family, and strive to bring that dedication to building community on Oahu.
