Description

The successful applicant will be able to conduct college courses for undergraduate students and demonstrate a love of teaching and a desire to help students enjoy learning within the field of Kinesiology.

  • Teaching physical education, coaching/education, kinesiology, and activity classes (aquatics, racket sports) to undergraduate students.
  • Evaluating and grading student work
  • Assessing course and major student learning outcomes
  • Maintaining and distributing timely student grade reports
  • Planning and updating course materials and methods of instruction
  • Keeping regular office hours
  • Advising/mentoring students on academic and career-related issues
  • Participating in department activities/events; and
  • Participating in the campus governance structure
Required Experience
  • Master's degree, preferably Doctorate
  • Physical Education or similar degree
  • Minimum of one (1) year of undergraduate teaching experience
  • K-12 Physical Education teaching experience
  • Collegiate or high school intramural director experience
  • American Red Cross Lifeguarding Instructor and Water Safety Instructor Trainer certification
  • Coaching and/or varsity sports experience
  • Certified Strength and Conditioning Coach
  • Certified Personal Trainer
