Description

LifePoint Academy is a growing pre-k-9th grade school with an enrollment of 125 students. The school recently relocated into a renovated school building with a newly constructed gymnasium. LifePoint Academy is part of a larger campus which includes LifePoint Christian Fellowship and is located on approximately eleven acres in the heart of Mandarin in Jacksonville.

LPA has an opening for a dedicated, caring, dynamic Christ-filled first- and second-grades teacher for the upcoming school year. They are looking for someone who is a team player, creative, and who loves children. Applicants for this position must model Christ-like behavior and attitudes which will positively impact students in leading them to Christ. Candidates must have good classroom management skills and be able to deliver instruction to students on the indicated subjects or grade levels using a variety of teaching methods and activities. Required Experience

Applicant must be a tithe-paying Seventh-day Adventist church member in good standing and already have the legal right to work in the United States, providing evidence of such if employed. North American Division (Denominational) Teacher Certification is required and must be maintained. Successful classroom experience is preferred. Must have a service-oriented attitude, possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, and be able to work with students and families of diverse backgrounds. Possessing competent technology skills using current educational software and hardware is essential. Additional traits should include organization, attention to detail, self-directed, and motivated. Absolute confidentiality is required. Curriculum familiarity, content knowledge, and proficiency in instructional delivery are crucial. Most importantly, the applicant must possess a love for God, a love for working with children, and a desire to see each child in Heaven.
