East Pasco Adventist Academy (EPAA) is a pre-kindergarten through eighth grade elementary school located in Dade City Florida, just 40 minutes northeast of Tampa. The school is expanding to add a ninth grade this coming school year and plans to add tenth grade the following year. The principal, six classroom teachers, and additional support personnel provide instruction and guidance to a growing enrollment of almost 90 students. EPAA is blessed to have a beautiful campus, large classrooms, a gymnasium, and a large playground. The school is supported by a 600-member church and is in a community with two AdventHealth Hospitals. It is located in Pasco County, one of the fastest growing counties in the country right now.
EPAA has an opening for a third- and fourth-grades teacher for the 2025-2026 school year. There is a possibility the position will be for a third- and fourth-grades homeroom with math and science teaching responsibilities in grades one through four. The school is looking for a dedicated, caring, and dynamic teacher who is a team player, creative, and passionate about children. Applicants for this position must model Christ-like behavior and attitudes that will positively impact students in leading them to Christ. She/He must be able to deliver instruction to students on the indicated subjects or grade levels using a variety of teaching methods and activities. Applicant must be a tithe-paying Seventh-day Adventist church member in good standing and already have the legal right to work in the United States, providing evidence of such if employed. North American Division (Denominational) Teacher Certification is required and must be maintained. Successful classroom experience is preferred. Must have a service-oriented attitude, possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, and be able to work with students and families of diverse backgrounds. Possessing competent technology skills using current educational software and hardware is essential. Additional traits should include organization, attention to detail, self-directed, and motivated. Absolute confidentiality is required. Curriculum familiarity, content knowledge, and proficiency in instructional delivery are crucial. Most importantly, the applicant must possess a love for God, a love for working with children, and a desire to see each child in Heaven.
