Highland View Academy is seeking a full-time Director of Development and Alumni Relations. This person provides leadership for all fundraising endeavors undertaken by Highland View Academy. The Director of Development and Alumni Relations seeks to enhance the fundraising programs supporting the growth strategy of Highland View Academy and to strengthen relationships with those who can have the greatest philanthropic impact. He/She works closely with all HVA team members and reports directly to the Principal. Provides leadership for the Highland View Academy Alumni Association, and helps lead the marketing team and recruiting efforts. Highland View Academy is a small, but growing, SDA boarding academy located in beautiful western Maryland. Our campus is rural and surrounded by farms, fields and mountains. The Appalachian Trail is very near to campus and there are many other national and historical parks and landmarks nearby. We are dedicated to serving our students and helping them to further develop their characters into the person that God is calling them to be. We have a dynamic, caring, and professional faculty and staff who are a lot of fun to work with. 

Preferred candidates will have a college degree. A minimum of three years’ fundraising experience is preferred. Proven experience in administering a multi-faceted fundraising program including annual fund and capital campaigns is preferred. Experience in a marketing field will be considered. Must be able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing, and be able to read, write and speak English fluently. They will also possess a desire to serve on a boarding academy campus, previous experience in a boarding academy is a plus. We are looking for a candidate who loves to collaborate with staff members and students. The most important quality the ideal candidate will possess is love for the Lord and a desire to mentor young men and women into a closer relationship with Him.
