Mile High Academy (MHA) has an opening for a dedicated, caring, and dynamic second grade teacher for the 2025-2026 school year. The ideal candidate will engage students through creative, developmentally appropriate instruction and foster a Christ-centered, nurturing environment. They will demonstrate a love for children, strong classroom management skills, and the ability to create hands-on learning experiences that integrate technology and support both academic and spiritual growth. Flexibility, collaboration with colleagues, and a commitment to excellence in Adventist education are essential.

MHA provides a nurturing, Christ-centered learning environment, helping families experience excellence in Seventh-day Adventist education. Situated in Highlands Ranch, Colorado, near Denver, MHA serves students from Preschool through 12th grade. The school is supported by local constituent churches and an Adventist hospital system and is fully accredited by the Middle States Association Commissions on Elementary and Secondary Schools. The ideal candidate will be a team player, creative, and passionate about nurturing young minds in a Christ-centered learning environment. The ability to integrate technology and innovative, hands-on learning experiences throughout the curriculum is desired in any applicant. Applicants for this position must model Christ-like behavior and attitudes, positively impacting students and leading them to Christ.

Required Experience
  • A BS or BA degree in Education or a related field is required (Master's degree is a bonus).
  • Prior teaching experience (3+ years preferred).
  • Current NAD Certification with a subject endorsement for K-5 education.
  • Proven ability to create a positive and engaging classroom environment that fosters both academic and spiritual growth.

Salary and Benefits:
Compensation is based on the denominational wage scale policy. Applicants must already have the legal right to work in the United States and provide evidence of that right if employed.
