Third Grade Teacher

Mile High SDA Elementary School in Denver, CO
Mid-America Union Conference | Rocky Mountain Conference
Description

Mile High Academy (MHA) is seeking a passionate and dedicated third grade teacher for the 2025-2026 school year. The ideal candidate will engage students through creative, developmentally appropriate instruction and foster a Christ-centered, nurturing environment. They will demonstrate a love for children, strong classroom management skills, and the ability to create hands-on learning experiences that integrate technology and support both academic and spiritual growth. In 3rd grade, students begin to transition into more independent learning, so the ability to encourage confidence, responsibility, and curiosity is especially important. Flexibility, collaboration with colleagues, and a commitment to excellence in Adventist education are essential.

MHA provides a nurturing, Christ-centered learning environment, helping families experience excellence in Seventh-day Adventist education. Situated in Highlands Ranch, Colorado, near Denver, MHA serves students from Preschool through 12th grade. The school is supported by local constituent churches and an Adventist hospital system and is fully accredited by the Middle States Association Commissions on Elementary and Secondary Schools.

Required Experience
  • A BS or BA degree in Education or a related field is required (Master's degree is a plus).
  • Minimum of 3 years of teaching experience preferred.
  • Current NAD Certification with a subject endorsement for K-5 education.
  • Demonstrated ability to create an interactive and nurturing classroom environment that promotes both academic and spiritual growth.

Salary and Benefits:
Compensation follows the denominational wage scale policy.  Applicants must already have the legal right to work in the United States and provide evidence of that right if employed.

Application Process:
MHA is committed to hiring Christ-centered educators who model Christ-like behavior and attitudes, positively impacting students and leading them to Christ. Please submit your resume, cover letter, philosophy of education, and references to Paul Negrete at pauln@rmcsda.org.
