Bishop Adventist Christian School (BACS) in Bishop, CA is seeking two teachers, lower grades and upper grades with one being a teaching principal as we plan to re-open this school for the 2027-2028 school year. The school shares a campus with the Bishop Seventh-day Adventist Church and Rainbow Connection, our Adventist preschool. 

The salary for this position is based on the wage scale determined by degree, level of certification, and years of experience with a range of $49,000 to $67,000.  The Nevada Utah Conference also provides a cost-of-living increase in addition to the salary range. The Bishop Chamber of Commerce describes the community as “a small town with a big backyard.”  Bishop is located on the eastern slopes of the Sierra Nevada about 100 miles from Yosemite National Park providing plenty of opportunities to enjoy the great outdoors. Required Experience

We are seeking candidates committed to the ministry of Adventist Education as we grow loving followers of Jesus.

Qualifications:

  • member in good standing of the Seventh-day Adventist Church.  
  • minimum of a bachelor’s degree and hold or be able to obtain an NAD elementary teaching certification
  • experience teaching, preferably in a multi-grade setting
  • experience with small school administration not required, but preferred
  • pass a background check
  • must have valid U.S. work authorization at the time of application. The Nevada-Utah Conference is unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of employment visas.
