Description: Burton Adventist Academy, located in Arlington, Texas, seeks a dedicated, certified teacher to serve as Athletic Director. In the heart of the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex, Burton Adventist Academy is an established Pre-K through 12th-grade school with approximately 300 students in a very supportive and vibrant church community. 

Burton is looking for a driven and energetic person passionate about helping students develop spiritually, physically, socially, and emotionally through sports and PE. The right person will be a detail-oriented self-starter, well-organized, and with exceptional communication skills.

Some key responsibilities include:

• League responsibilities (meetings, scheduling/rescheduling games)
• Organize transportation for games
• Plan summer sports camps
• Timely communication with parents, students, and staff
• Plan and guide the maintenance and improvement of the athletic facilities
• Care of all department equipment
• Maintain an inventory of uniforms and equipment
• Recruitment and training of coaches to align with the school’s mission and vision
• Arrange and schedule officials for each game day
• Teach classes as needed
• Recruit and schedule game day workers for gate, concessions, and scorekeeping
• Possessing or willingness to obtain a CDL is highly desirable. 
• Candidate should possess a Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field
• NAD certification or the ability to be certified.  
• Candidate must be a committed and active SDA member in good and regular standing.
• Experience in a multi-grade setting is a plus.  
• Candidate must be authorized to work in the United States.
