Grand Lake Christian School, with its new name, new outlook, and promising future, is seeking an energetic, vibrant K- 8th grade teaching principal starting the 2025-2026 school year open to growing its educational ministry in Vinita, OK. 

The recently updated school campus includes several classrooms and a gymnasium. There is plenty of space for a proactive educator to reimagine learning, build strong academics, and innovate hands-on learning in the form of a STEM lab or Makerspace. Spiritual growth and outreach are an important part of the school’s mission to serve mostly non-Adventist families. 

The school benefits from the Oklahoma Parental Choice Tax Credit (OPCTC), which is helping families better afford Christian education. 

The reborn school, originally established in 1907, is located in a family-friendly northeast Oklahoma community on the picturesque recreational Grand Lake in the foothills of the Ozark Mountain range. This growing, quiet municipality has much to offer and is conveniently about an hour from Tulsa. Nearby historic Vinita is part of the famous Route 66.

Individual applicants must be a member in good standing of the Seventh-day Adventist Church. Ideally, candidates should have a current SDA elementary certification and preferably have a minimum of 3 years of multi-grade teaching experience. A knowledge of standards-based grading is helpful but not required. Must already possess the legal right to work and reside in the United States.
