Killeen Adventist Junior Academy (KAJA) is seeking a compassionate, self-motivated, team player for a 3rd & 4th grade teacher who is committed to the mission of Adventist Education. KAJA is a growing PreK-12th grade school located in the heart of Texas. It is a small school with big dreams and a supportive school board and community. The mission of KAJA is to provide a high-quality, Christ-centered education in a safe, caring, learning environment. It is the goal of KAJA to emphasize spiritual growth, service to others, and academic, excellence. Candidates should be able to challenge, empower, and instill confidence in their students by exhibiting a passion for teaching.

Applicants must be active members of the Seventh-day Adventist church and authorized to work in the United States. The successful candidate will have the following qualifications: 

• Hold or be qualified to receive NAD Basic, Standard, or Professional teaching certification
• Maintain a spiritual presence and commitment
• Have a passion for the development of young people
• Be educated in, and knowledgeable of the current elementary curriculum
• Be a team player
• Excellent classroom management skills
• Be able to integrate technology and hands-on learning experiences throughout the curriculum
