Description

Spring Valley Academy is seeking a dynamic, creative, and energetic educator, filled with the Holy Spirit, to join our team in the vibrant Centerville, Ohio community.  The ideal candidate will teach in a stand-alone fourth-grade classroom, where you will have the opportunity to use all your skills with a group of wonderful students eager to learn.  Each classroom features pull-out classes such as Music, PE, and Art to provide students with varied experiences and interactions with multiple teachers in the building.  The successful candidate will collaborate with other third and fourth-grade educators to ensure that each student’s experience is special during their time at SVA. Classrooms also have aides to assist within the Grades 3-4 cluster.  Each teacher enjoys a personal classroom budget to acquire items that make their classroom uniquely their own. 

The school is supported by a dedicated constituency of churches, Kettering Health, and the local community, who are faithfully committed to Adventist education.  You will work with a fantastic group of committed, top-notch educators who are eager to welcome a new member to their team.  The campus of Spring Valley Academy is located in Centerville, Ohio, just minutes away from many wonderful educational and cultural attractions in and around the cities of Dayton and Cincinnati. There is a diverse range of Seventh-day Adventist churches in the area where you can worship. Most of the faith communities have vibrant youth and young adult programs, as well as strong adult programs to ensure that your entire family has the opportunity to engage spiritually. Required Experience

Strengths should include being up-to-date on best educational practices, easily adapting to current classroom technologies, possessing strong classroom management skills, being an engaging communicator, and demonstrating an “all-in” team player attitude.  

 

An undergraduate degree or higher is required.  All candidates must currently be available to work in the United States.  A dedicated Seventh-day Adventist committed to developing young people meaningfully.
