Fort Worth Adventist Junior Academy (FWAJA) is seeking a compassionate, self-motivated, team player for a 3rd-5th grade teacher who is committed to the mission of Adventist Education. FWAJA is a growing PreK-8th grade school located in Fort Worth, Texas. It is a small school with big plans and a supportive school board and community. The mission of FWAJA is to provide a high-quality, Christ-centered education in a safe, caring, learning environment. It is the goal of FWAJA to emphasize spiritual growth, service to others, and academic excellence. Candidates should be able to challenge, empower, and instill confidence in their students by exhibiting a passion for teaching.

Required Experience

Applicants must be active members of the Seventh-day Adventist church and authorized to work in the United States. The successful candidate will have the following qualifications: 

• Hold or be qualified to receive NAD Basic, Standard, or Professional teaching certification
• Maintain a spiritual presence and commitment
• Integrate Seventh-day Adventist principles and values into the curriculum to nurture spiritual growth.
• Be educated in, and knowledgeable of the current elementary curriculum
• Implement effective classroom management strategies to ensure a conducive learning environment.
• Be able to integrate technology and hands-on learning experiences throughout the curriculum
• Foster a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere that encourages active participation and respect.
• Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and challenging lessons for elementary school students.
• Assess and monitor student progress regularly, providing timely feedback to students and parents.
• Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the overall elementary school curriculum and educational experience.
