Sunnydale Adventist Academy (SAA) is seeking a passionate and dedicated Mathematics Teacher to join our faculty for the 2025-2026 school year. This is a full-time, salaried, 10-month position at our boarding school for grades 9-12.

Responsibilities:

  • Teach a full load of mathematics courses, fostering a Christ-centered and engaging classroom environment.
  • Develop and implement lesson plans that cater to diverse learning styles and abilities.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing timely feedback and support.
  • Serve as a class or organization sponsor, contributing to the vibrant school community.
  • Attend weekly staff meetings and fulfill additional duties as outlined by the principal.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with educational best practices.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mathematics or a related field; teaching certification preferred.
  • Experience teaching high school mathematics, preferably in a boarding school setting.
  • Relational, inclusive, and professional demeanor.
  • Ability to make learning math exciting and accessible for all students.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Team player willing to be part of a supportive school community.

The applicant needs a bachelor’s degree in the field of study (a master’s degree and experience are preferred) and a secondary NAD teaching endorsement in math. Candidates must also be members of the Seventh-day Adventist church in good standing and have the legal right to work in the United States. The position will be open until filled.

Salary and benefits are based on the denominational wage scale and policy. Must have the legal right to work in the United States and be able to provide evidence of that right if employed.
