About: Located in Keene, TX, just blocks away from Southwestern Adventist University, Chisholm Trail Academy (grades 9-12) enjoys a robust enrollment, averaging 160 students, a strong financial position, and provides  numerous curricular and extracurricular opportunities. 

Job Summary: The treasurer is a key member of the administrative and faculty team that work together for the successful operation of the school. This position will have the primary responsibility for planning and controlling all financial-related activities of the school. The treasurer will also share responsibility for operations management, human resources, strategic planning, communications and educational support.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and process all billing and accounts receivable activities accurately and efficiently.
• Ensure accurate and timely payment of expenses, reimbursements, and accounts payable, adhering to the limits given by each vendor.
• Efficiently manage tuition and fee collection to ensure timely payments, administer the financial assistance programs, and proactively communicate account status updates to students and parents.
• Address and resolve billing inquiries from parents, staff, and external parties.
• Prepare and present accurate and timely financial reports for the principal and School Board.
• Collaborate with the School Principal and other relevant stakeholders to develop the annual budget.
• Prepare and organize all necessary documentation for the annual audit, working closely with auditors to facilitate a smooth and efficient audit process, and implement audit recommendations and ensure compliance with financial regulations.
• Track and report monthly departmental account balances.

Qualifications:

• A commitment to moral, legal, and ethical behavior, consistent with the standards of the Seventh-day Adventist Church (SDA).
• A Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Accounting, or a closely related discipline.
• Substantial experience in financial management, including budgeting, and accurate financial reporting.
• Exceptional analytical abilities for the interpretation of complex financial data.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to facilitate collaborative dialogue with a diverse range of academy stakeholders.
• Proficiency in accounting software and financial management systems.
