LifePoint Academy is a growing pre-k-9th grade school with an enrollment of 125 students. The school recently relocated into a renovated school building with a newly constructed gymnasium. LifePoint Academy is part of a larger campus that includes LifePoint Christian Fellowship and is located on approximately eleven acres in the heart of Mandarin in Jacksonville. At LifePoint Academy, we are building leaders of integrity through academic excellence in a Christ-centered environment.
LPA has an opening for a dedicated, caring, dynamic, Christ-filled fifth-grade teacher for the upcoming school year. The teacher would be responsible for teaching all subjects except PE. The school is looking for a team player who is creative and passionate about children. Applicants for this position must model Christ-like behavior and attitudes that will positively impact students in leading them to Christ. Candidates must have good classroom management skills and be able to deliver instruction to students on the indicated subjects or grade levels using a variety of teaching methods and activities. Applicant must be a tithe-paying Seventh-day Adventist church member in good standing and already have the legal right to work in the United States, providing evidence if employed. A minimum of a bachelor's degree with North American Division (Denominational) Teacher Certification is required and must be maintained (or must agree to work towards obtaining NAD Certification). A minimum of three years of successful classroom experience is preferred. Must have a service-oriented attitude; be an effective communicator possessing excellent verbal and written communication skills; and be able to positively engage with students and families of diverse backgrounds, regardless of language, ethnicity, race, or socioeconomic status. Possessing competent technology skills using current educational software and hardware is essential. Additional traits should include organization, attention to detail, being self-directed, and being motivated. Absolute confidentiality is required. Curriculum familiarity, content knowledge, and proficiency in instructional delivery are crucial. Most importantly, the applicant must possess a love for God, a love for working with children, and a desire to see each child in Heaven.
