James E. Sampson Memorial School is a kindergarten through eighth-grade elementary school located in Ft. Pierce on the east coast of Florida. Currently, three full-time educators provide instruction to about 50 students. They are excited to expand to four teachers for the 2025-2026 school year to accommodate a growing enrollment.
JESMS has a classroom teacher position available for grades 2-3 or 4-5 for the upcoming school year. They are looking for a dedicated, caring, and dynamic teacher who is creative and passionate about children. Applicants for this position must model Christ-like behavior and attitudes that will positively impact students in leading them to Christ. They must be able to deliver instruction to students on the indicated subjects or grade levels using a variety of teaching methods and activities. Applicant must be a tithe-paying Seventh-day Adventist church member in good standing and have the legal right to work in the United States, providing evidence if employed. A minimum of a bachelor's degree with North American Division (Denominational) Teacher Certification is required and must be maintained (or must agree to work towards obtaining NAD Certification). A minimum of three years of successful classroom experience is preferred. Must be a team player; have a service-oriented attitude; be an effective communicator possessing excellent verbal and written communication skills; and be able to positively engage with students and families of diverse backgrounds, regardless of language, ethnicity, race, or socioeconomic status. Possessing competent technology skills using current educational software and hardware is essential. Additional traits should include organization, attention to detail, being self-directed, and being motivated. Absolute confidentiality is required. Curriculum familiarity, content knowledge, and proficiency in instructional delivery are crucial. Most importantly, the applicant must possess a love for God, a love for working with children, and a desire to see each child in Heaven.
