Daughter of Zion Junior Academy (DOZJA) is seeking a dedicated, passionate, innovative and motivated teacher for grades 7 and 8. The school is fully accredited with the North American Division Commission on Accreditation, the Accrediting Association of Seventh-day Adventist Schools, Colleges, and Universities, the National Council for Private Schools Accreditation, and the Commission on International and Trans-Regional Accreditation. DOZJA is located in the beautiful suburbs of Delray Beach, Florida, minutes away from the beaches and numerous family and children oriented attractions.

Required Experience

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in education or a Bachelor's degree out of field and a willingness to work to meet a minimum of NAD standard certification
  • Certification: Valid teacher certification (denominational and/or state) or applying for NAD certification
  • Faith & Values: Member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church, living a Christ-centered lifestyle
  • Skills: Strong organizational, communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Curriculum: Ability to integrate a Christ-centered curriculum using NAD guidelines
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States

Key Responsibilities

  • Create a classroom culture that promotes academic excellence, creativity and a biblical worldview
  • Differentiate instruction to support both enrichment and intervention for student success
  • Utilize assessment tools to track student progress and guide instruction
  • Work collaboratively with staff and administration to support student growth
  • Maintain open communication with students, parents and colleagues

Salary and Benefits
