Martin Luther King Junior Christian Academy (MLKJCA) is currently seeking a dedicated and spiritually grounded Principal to lead our school for the 2025–2026 academic year. Nestled in Baton Rouge—a city known for its rich history and cultural vibrancy—MLKJCA offers a unique opportunity to inspire and shape the next generation within a faith-centered environment.

MLKJCA will continue to be supported by a team of dedicated teachers, skilled Teacher Aides, steadfast pastoral guidance, and an engaged school board—working together to cultivate a nurturing, faith-based, and academically enriching environment.

Students benefit from one-to-one iPad access, a vibrant robotics program, and opportunities for creative expression through pantomime, music, and speech. Additionally, students participate in the local 4-H Club, further enriching their learning experience through leadership and service.

The Principal will serve as the spiritual and academic leader of Martin Luther King Junior Christian Academy, overseeing daily school operations while fostering a Christ-centered learning environment. This role requires close collaboration with teachers, staff, the school board, and local churches to advance the mission and growth of Adventist education.

Qualifications:

• Demonstrates a genuine love for Jesus and a passion for sharing Him with students across all grade levels
• A faithful, active member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church
• Holds a Bachelor’s degree (Master’s degree preferred)
• Possesses both teaching and administrative experience
• Familiarity with Standards-Based Curriculum is strongly preferred
• Knowledgeable in school finance and budgeting practices
• Exhibits strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Works collaboratively with staff and the school board to support school goals
• Legally authorized to work and reside in the United States
