Head Dean of Boys’ Dormitory – Blue Mountain Academy

Blue Mountain Academy is a boarding school located in the picturesque Blue Mountain region of Hamburg, Pennsylvania. Surrounded by natural beauty and a peaceful environment, the campus provides a Christ-centered atmosphere ideal for spiritual growth, academic success, and character development.

The Head Dean of the Boys’ Dormitory will lead a residential program that nurtures responsibility, independence, and community among our male students. This individual will be a spiritual mentor, a consistent authority, and a key part of the student life team. The Head Dean will join a supportive group of educators and staff who value collaboration, spiritual growth, and a shared commitment to excellence in Adventist education.

The boys’ residence hall is a place where students are encouraged to grow spiritually, emotionally, and socially. The ideal candidate will create a home-like atmosphere where discipline is redemptive, worship is a part of daily life, and every student knows they are seen, valued, and loved by God.

• Deep commitment to Jesus Christ and the mission of Adventist education
• Provide spiritual leadership through daily interactions, worships, and mentorship
• Foster a safe, welcoming, and structured dorm environment for male students
• Support students in their emotional, academic, and personal development
• Partner with parents and staff to ensure consistent care and communication
• Plan weekend and evening activities that build community and spiritual growth
• Supervise assistant deans and dormitory staff with a team-oriented approach
• Promote a lifestyle of integrity, responsibility, and service
• Model Christ-like character in all aspects of leadership
