Position: Full-time Teacher/Teacher’s Aide for Grades 6-8
Hours: 40 hours per week
Compensation: Pay based on experience
Subjects: Math, ELA, Science, Social Studies, Bible, Outdoor, Other as Needed
Location: Lester Coon Adventist School Position
Overview: We are seeking a passionate, organized, and mission-driven educator to join our team as a PartTime Teacher or Teacher’s Aide. In this role, you will be entrusted with leading instruction, lesson planning, and grading for all subjects and any other subject needed. This teacher will play a vital role in maintaining high standards of academic and spiritual development.
Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging and effective instruction in all subjects
- Plan and prepare weekly lessons aligned with curriculum standards
- Develop meaningful learning experiences that foster student growth
- Assess, grade, and provide feedback on student work in a timely manner
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and academic achievement
- Create a positive, respectful, and nurturing classroom environment
- Communicate consistently with the principal and staff regarding classroom needs and student progress
- Uphold and model Christian principles and values in the classroom - Support and uphold the mission and vision of the school and the Seventh-day Adventist education system
Required Experience
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in education or a related field (preferred but not required)
- Valid teaching certification (preferred but not required)
- A committed and practicing Seventh-day Adventist
- Strong organizational, instructional, and classroom management skills
- Experience teaching
- Ability to integrate Biblical principles into academic subjects naturally and meaningfully
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- A passion for Christian education and for inspiring young minds academically and spiritually
Position Details
- Full-time: 40 hours per week
- Schedule: Flexible within school hours
- Compensation: Based on experience
- Reports to: Principal
