Bristow Adventist School (BAS) is searching for a head teacher responsible for teaching grades 1-8 beginning the 2025-2026 school year. Applicants must be organized and be able to establish and maintain classroom routines in harmony with school and Conference policies. This position is also responsible for holding students to high standards of academics, character, and Christ-like behavior while attending to each student's individual needs. BAS is a small one-teacher school, and this school year BAS has seven students. There is one constituent church. The school and church would like to develop a partnership with the homeschool families that are a part of the church as other schools have done in the Oklahoma Conference. Additionally, the church has many children who are younger than school age and is expecting an increase in enrollment in the coming years. The community has also expressed interest in involving the school in community outreach and incorporating outdoor/gardening education into the curriculum.
Individual applicants must be a member in regular good standing of the Seventh-day Adventist Church with a willingness to model Adventist beliefs and standards. Ideally, candidates should have a current SDA elementary certification and preferably have a minimum of 3 years of multi-grade teaching experience.
