Port Charlotte Adventist School is located in a beautiful harbor-side community on the west coast of Florida. Eight classroom teachers, an administrator, and additional support personnel provide instruction to an enrollment of over 110 students in pre-kindergarten through tenth grades. PCAS has a classroom teacher position available for grade 2 or grades 3-4 for the upcoming school year. They are looking for a dedicated, caring, and dynamic teacher who is creative, and passionate about children. Applicant must be a tithe-paying Seventh-day Adventist church member in good standing and already have the legal right to work in the United States, providing evidence if employed. A minimum of a bachelor's degree with North American Division (Denominational) Teacher Certification is required and must be maintained (or must agree to work towards obtaining NAD Certification). A minimum of three years of successful classroom experience is preferred. Must be a team player; have a service-oriented attitude; be an effective communicator possessing excellent verbal and written communication skills; and be able to positively engage with students and families of diverse backgrounds, regardless of language, ethnicity, race, or socioeconomic status. Most importantly, the applicant must possess a love for God, a love for working with children, and a desire to see each child in Heaven.
