Adventist Malama Elementary School (AMES) is a kindergarten through grade 8 school located on the island of Oahu, Hawaii. Our two-teacher school is strongly supported by four constituent churches and a supportive school board. AMES is seeking a minister of education who has a passion for Adventist Education and can balance the demands of being a full-time teacher of a growing K-8 program both inside the classroom and within a growing church community.

Required Experience

Adventist Malama Elementary School is seeking a Principal Teacher who is passionate about Adventist Education and can balance the demands of being a full-time teacher and administrator of a growing K-8 program. Applicants must have denominational certification and experience in multi-grade teaching. Candidates need the ability to select age-appropriate instructional strategies, sound teaching methods, good communication, consistent planning and follow-through, and a positive team spirit. Practical communication skills are necessary. The ideal candidate is a visionary leader with administrative experience and a history of building the school community.
