Collegedale Academy (CA) is a thriving Seventh-day Adventist K-12 school located in Collegedale, TN. Serving approximately 900 students, CA’s location on the campus of Southern Adventist University allows for the best in academic achievement.  More importantly however are the spiritual opportunities throughout our school community.

CA is seeking a dynamic and spiritually grounded full-time 6th & 7th grade Bible teacher for the 2025–2026 academic year. The ideal candidate will be passionate about youth ministry and committed to fostering a deep, meaningful understanding of Scripture in the lives of middle school students. This educator will join a dedicated Bible department team and collaborate with school leadership to develop learning experiences that encourage critical thinking, spiritual growth, and personal reflection.

Responsibilities include teaching up to six Bible classes, student supervision, and other duties as assigned by the administration. The successful candidate will demonstrate a collaborative spirit, a growth mindset, and the ability to contribute meaningfully to a Christ-centered, holistic educational program.

Required Qualifications

The ideal candidate will be a baptized, tithe-paying member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church in good standing and must possess legal authorization to work in the United States, with documentation required upon employment. A minimum of a bachelor’s degree is required, along with current North American Division (NAD) Teacher Certification in Bible, or a commitment to work toward certification in a timely manner. Bible Encounters training is also required and must be completed prior to the start of the school year if not already obtained.

A minimum of three years of successful classroom teaching experience is preferred. Candidates should demonstrate a Christ-centered, service-oriented mindset and possess exceptional verbal and written communication skills. The ability to build meaningful relationships with students and families from diverse cultural, racial, linguistic, and socioeconomic backgrounds is essential.

Above all, the successful applicant will exemplify a deep love for God, a genuine passion for working with young people, and a commitment to nurturing each student’s spiritual, academic, and personal growth—with the ultimate desire of helping lead each child toward the Kingdom of Heaven.

Required Experience

Minimum: B.S. degree and current NAD Elementary certification. Salary and benefits are based on the denominational wage scale and policy. Georgia-Cumberland Conference offers all full-time teachers the option of 10 or 12-month remuneration. Must have the legal right to work in the United States and be able to provide evidence of that right if employed.
