Position Overview

As the Vice President for Education, you will be a catalytic leader who empowers school administrators, educators, and students to thrive. In collaboration with the administrative team, you’ll cast vision, cultivate innovation, and lead with courage and clarity. Your role is central to nurturing Christ-centered learning environments where excellence, creativity, and spiritual growth flourish.

Required Experience

Core Responsibilities

  • Lead and execute the strategic mission for the Office of Education, focused on building healthy, disciple-making schools.
  • Oversee educational initiatives including curriculum development, budgets, calendars, policy, and evaluation.
  • Foster strong collaboration with Potomac Conference youth ministries to integrate spiritual and academic development.
  • Mentor and support school leaders through professional development and leadership growth.
  • Promote innovation and continuous improvement rooted in faith and excellence.
  • Represent the Office of Education in conference-wide initiatives and community engagement.

Ideal Candidate

  • Spirit-led, mission-minded, and committed to Adventist education
  • Experienced in educational leadership with a growth-oriented mindset, and a Master’s Degree in an education-related area
  • Strategic thinker with a track record of leadership in education leadership/administration who is organized, goal-oriented, and future-focused
  • A collaborative partner who builds strong, trusting relationships across diverse teams 
  • A servant-leader, passionate about shaping the next generation of Christian leaders
