Description

College View Academy, located in Lincoln, NE, is seeking an enthusiastic and Christ-centered K-12 Vice Principal for the 2025-2026 school year. Our resolute team of twenty-seven staff members is committed to providing a nurturing environment that supports the spiritual, academic, and emotional growth of our students.

 The Vice Principal will work as a part of the administrative team. This person will lead and support school initiatives that progress and support the school’s mission and vision. While this includes items such as curriculum development and support it also joins other areas such as teacher/student support including but not limited to celebrating/promoting positive relationships, redemptive discipline, helping create and support processes and procedures, and more as defined below and by the school’s principal.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Establish positive relationships with staff and students 
  1. Encourage and/or correct behaviors to align with the school’s stated culture 
  • Authority to act individually yet also work collaboratively, when necessary, on major disciplinary issues 

    Lead/assist with curriculum development, supplements, and other adaptations 

  • Help communicate day-to-day and long-term needs and happenings 
  • Work with office managers to ensure effective operations including attendance, communication, substitute teachers, etc. 
  • Visit classrooms 
  1. Give encouragement/praise and suggestions for professional growth 
  2. Assist teachers when needed 
  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with all stakeholders 
  • Lead/co-lead team and K-12 meetings when appropriate 
  • Work alongside LPS and Department of Education to facilitate accommodation plans and IEPs 
  • Communicate with all stakeholders  
  1. Administration
  2. Office 
  3. Staff/Teachers

  5. Parents 
  6. Churches 
  • When necessary, help cover classes 
  • Attend board meetings as a member of the College View Academy board 
  • Meet with other administration for co-planning and executing school plans 
  • Help troubleshoot items for staff and students 
  • Facilitate and help monitor tier II behavior plans 

 

College View Academy is a growing K-12 institution, beginning the 2024-2025 school year with 242 students, and we are looking forward to even more growth. Required Experience

Interested applicants need to have at least a bachelor's degree in elementary education or secondary education. A master’s degree in educational administration is preferred but not required. Candidates must be NAD and Nebraska certified or be able to obtain them before the start of the school year. Candidates need to have the legal right to live and work in the United States.
