Spencerville Adventist Academy (SAA) is a diverse, 388-student PK-12th grade school. We value our Adventist foundations and pursue academic excellence at all age levels. Our school is housed in a beautiful, modern facility set in a prime location—just 30 minutes north of Washington, DC, and close to the GC, NAD, Columbia Union, and three Adventist hospitals. SAA has one constituent church, Spencerville Seventh-day Adventist Church, that is an active participant in the life of our school. SAA offers excellent spiritual, academic, music, and sports programs centered on our vision of discipleship and 21st-century skills of critical thinking, communication, collaboration, and creativity. We are looking for team members who have a growth mindset, enjoy sharing Jesus, and have fun implementing best practices. We value strong and healthy relationships with our students, parents, and church family, which require excellent interpersonal and communication skills. We are seeking an athletic director/P.E. teacher dedicated to discipling the whole child through high school physical education, the management of a middle school and high school sports program, and an inclusive, service-oriented intramural program. The ideal candidate will have a biblical worldview, intentionally incorporate 21st-century skills, employ a standards-based approach to lesson development, and consistently differentiate instruction to increase student achievement. The position is a wonderful opportunity to grow students in Christ.

Required Experience

Candidates must hold a bachelor's degree in secondary physical education and current NAD certification. It is desired that the candidate has a master's degree in education and three years of successful elementary school instruction experience. Must be an active member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church. Must be authorized to work in the USA.
