Spencerville Adventist Academy (SAA) is a diverse, 388-student PK-12th grade school. We value our Adventist foundations and pursue academic excellence at all age levels. Our school is housed in a beautiful, modern facility set in a prime location—just 30 minutes north of Washington, DC, and close to the GC, NAD, Columbia Union, and three Adventist hospitals. SAA has one constituent church, Spencerville Seventh-day Adventist Church, that is an active participant in the life of our school. We are seeking an athletic director/P.E. teacher dedicated to discipling the whole child through high school physical education, the management of a middle school and high school sports program, and an inclusive, service-oriented intramural program. The ideal candidate will have a biblical worldview, intentionally incorporate 21st-century skills, employ a standards-based approach to lesson development, and consistently differentiate instruction to increase student achievement. Candidates must hold a bachelor's degree in secondary physical education and current NAD certification. It is desired that the candidate has a master's degree in education and three years of successful elementary school instruction experience. Must be an active member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church. Must be authorized to work in the USA.
