We are currently seeking a mission-driven and organized Vice Principal to join our leadership team. This individual will play a critical role in the daily operations of the high school, with specific responsibilities for academic oversight, spiritual mentorship, student support, and staff collaboration.

 

Focus Points:

1. Academic Oversight and Curriculum Management

  • Collaborate with the Principal and faculty to maintain a rigorous, mission-aligned curriculum.
  • Ensure all academic programming meets the requirements of the State of Ohio and the Columbia Union Education Code.
  • Monitor instructional effectiveness through data analysis and help guide improvement efforts.
  • Assist in creating and managing school-wide scheduling for high school classes and standardized testing.

2. Teacher Supervision and Evaluation

  • Conduct classroom observations and provide constructive feedback to teachers.
  • Oversee and support teacher growth through regular evaluations, mentorship, and professional development opportunities.
  • Promote a collaborative professional culture that encourages innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.

3. Student Life and Behavioral Support

  • Maintain a visible presence in classrooms, hallways, and school events to support positive student behavior.
  • Collaborate with faculty, staff, and families to address behavioral challenges with grace and consistency.
  • Create systems that foster student responsibility, resilience, and respect in alignment with Christian principles.

4. Spiritual Mentorship and School Climate

  • Serve as a spiritual leader and mentor to both students and staff.
  • Help facilitate high school chapels, student-led worship services, spiritual retreats, and outreach activities.
  • Promote an inclusive and spiritually rich school environment, attentive to the diverse backgrounds and experiences of the student body.

5. Compliance and Administrative Duties

  • Ensure compliance with state regulations, school policies, and safety protocols.
  • Assist with accreditation and reporting requirements.
  • Partner with the administrative team to oversee daily operations and long-term planning initiatives.
Required Experience

Qualifications:

  • A deep personal commitment to Jesus Christ and the mission of Seventh-day Adventist education.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field (Master’s preferred).
  • Demonstrated experience in instructional leadership and/or school administration.
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with faculty, parents, and church communities.
