About Keene Adventist Elementary School (KAES)

Keene Adventist Elementary School (KAES) is a PreSchool through 8th grade school located in the vibrant and close-knit community of Keene, Texas. Our campus sits adjacent to Southwestern Adventist University, creating unique opportunities for educational collaboration and enrichment. Just 30 minutes south of Fort Worth and approximately 50 minutes southwest of Dallas, KAES offers the advantages of a peaceful, small-town atmosphere while still providing convenient access to the amenities of a larger metropolitan area—without the high costs or traffic.

Position Opening: Physical Education Teacher & Athletic Director

KAES is currently seeking a passionate and dynamic Physical Education Teacher and Athletic Director who will inspire a love for learning and physical activity in our students. This individual will be part of a dedicated team of 15 teachers, focused not only on academic excellence but also on intentional discipleship.

The ideal candidate will:

• Create dynamic and age-appropriate PE experiences for PreSchool through 8th grade students through innovative games, exercises, and health education that inspire active learning and make physical fitness exciting.
• Promote positive character development and teamwork through physical education.
• Manage and grow a strong athletics program, with competitive sports in basketball, volleyball, soccer, and flag football.
• Serve as the school’s Athletic Director, providing spiritual leadership and using athletics as a platform to reflect the love of Jesus.
• Collaborate with faculty and staff to support the overall mission of KAES.

Qualifications

• Must be authorized to work in the United States of America
• Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in [elementary education or physical education] from an accredited institution
• Denominational teaching certification (or willingness to obtain)
• Active membership in the Seventh-day Adventist Church
• Experience in Physical Education preferred
• Strong commitment to integrating faith and learning
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
• Ability to inspire and engage students in a Christ-centered environment
