Gateway Christian School is a pre-kindergarten through ninth-grade school located in Mt. Dora, Florida. Six classroom teachers and additional support personnel provide instruction to an enrollment of nearly 70 students. The school is in an up-and-coming rural area of Lake County, only 30-40 minutes outside the metro Orlando area and Forest Lake Academy. GCS has an opening for a dedicated, caring, dynamic, and Christ-filled teaching principal for the upcoming school year. Responsibilities would include teaching grades 3-4 with a part-time assistant who would give the principal up to 12 hours of release time per week to allow them to handle administrative duties. Applicant must be a tithe-paying Seventh-day Adventist church member in good standing and have the legal right to work in the United States, providing evidence if employed. A minimum of a bachelor's degree (master's preferred) with North American Division (Denominational) Teacher Certification is required and must be maintained (or must agree to work towards obtaining NAD Certification). A minimum of five years of successful classroom and administrative experience is preferred. Must be a team player; have a service-oriented attitude; and be an effective communicator, possessing excellent verbal and written communication skills. The selected applicant must be able to positively engage and work collaboratively with a diverse group of stakeholders, including students and families of diverse backgrounds, regardless of language, ethnicity, race, or socioeconomic status.
