The School of Engineering and Physics is seeking a full-time employee to support engineering laboratory instruction, maintain engineering laboratory equipment, and facilitate students’ safe and productive use of the maker space (machine, wood, and prototyping shops). The ideal candidate will have experience working in a machine shop with both manual and CNC equipment and will have demonstrated proficiency in training and supporting new users in the safe and effective operation of machinery. In addition, the successful candidate will be committed to mentoring students, nurturing student learning both in and out of the laboratory, and discipling students in Jesus Christ. Must have appropriate machine shop and prototyping experience. Electrical controls experience preferred. Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related discipline preferred. Prior teaching/mentoring experience and/or relevant industry experience preferred. Be able to write and speak English fluently.
