Rio Lindo Adventist Academy is a private Seventh-day Adventist boarding high school located in beautiful Northern California. We serve a diverse population of students in grades 9–12, with a mission to reflect Christ, cultivate the relevancy and excitement of learning, and impact the world through education and service.

We are currently seeking a passionate and mission-driven Secondary Spanish/ESL Teacher to join our team for the 2025–2026 school year. The ideal candidate will be a committed educator with a heart for students, strong instructional skills, and a desire to integrate faith into the learning experience.

Key Responsibilities

Rio Lindo is seeking a dynamic and dedicated teacher to teach Spanish I–III and support our English as a Second Language (ESL) program for international students. This educator will be responsible for lesson planning, classroom instruction, assessing student learning, and supporting non-native English speakers in their academic success.

  • Teach multiple levels of high school Spanish
  • Provide direct ESL instruction and language development support
  • Collaborate with faculty to support international students’ academic needs
  • Integrate faith and values into the classroom experience
  • Maintain timely communication with students, parents, and staff
  • Participate in school events, faculty committees, and supervision duties
Required Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Spanish, Education, ESL, or related field (Master’s preferred)
  • Secondary teaching credential (or ability to obtain one within NAD/SDA system)
  • Experience teaching high school students, preferably in a boarding or private school setting
  • Fluency in Spanish and proficiency in English
  • Commitment to the mission and values of Seventh-day Adventist education
  • Flexibility, teamwork, and a heart for working with students from diverse backgrounds
  • Applicants must have the legal right to work in the United States and be able to provide proof of such.
