Greater Lansing Adventist School (GLAS) is seeking a 3-5th grade teacher and principal that loves Jesus and wants to share Him with their students. Incoming teachers can look forward to an environment that is supportive and conducive to teacher growth and learning. As a four teacher school there will be plenty of opportunities for collaboration amongst team members. Constituent churches are very supportive of the school and seek ways to put the school on the best vantage ground for growth and sustainability. GLAS is situated on the property of one of the constituent churches and only a short distance from the Michigan Conference office. Conveniently located in central Michigan, it is an easy commute to Lake Huron, Lake Michigan, and Northern Michigan as well as Chicago, Grand Rapids, and Detroit while still offering country living only a few minutes away. The Michigan Conference has 34 schools over a broad spectrum of settings and over 150 teachers. There are numerous professional growth opportunities and programs in place to provide support to teachers in the field.
Candidates must be Seventh-day Adventists in good and regular standing and understand the core principles of Adventist Education as reflected in the book, "Education" by Ellen White. The Michigan Conference is desiring to partner with teachers that have a passion for self-growth and development and want to be part of a system that is innovative and growing. The ideal candidate has three or more years experience teaching in multigrade classrooms and has NAD certification. If you feel the Lord calling you to the Greater Lansing Adventist School community, please submit your resume, cover letter, and four references (one being your current pastor) to the superintendent's office and directly to: Charlotte Green, Associate Superintendent, at cgreen@misda.org.
