Description

Union Springs Elementary is a beautiful multi-grade, two teacher school located up the road from Union Springs Academy in rural New York.  This area is surrounded by numerous natural wonders such as waterfalls, beautiful overlooks and hiking, as well as many historical sites.  The desire is for a dynamic teacher who wishes to be part of a community that is committed to educating students for eternity.  This growing and progressive K-8 school is supported by a committed church family and school board who are passionate about offering excellent education to its church family and the surrounding communities.  The school currently has 19 students and is growing. The individual would be the homeroom teacher for grades 3-7, with help from various academy staff and student workers who would help with Music, IT, Art, recess monitors, and tutors.  They would possess excellent classroom management skills,  follow best practices to meet the various learning styles of their students, create centers and provide hands-on learning.  The individual must be a team player who is committed to inspire and lead students to academic success, but above all a relationship with Jesus.  

Required Experience

The candidate must hold a Bachelor's degree; Elementary Education certification is preferred.    Active membership is the local SDA church is required.  Experience such as working at a summer camp or with Pathfinders is preferred.
